SHANNON'S FLY FISHING SCHOOL HATCHES OF THE SOUTH BRANCH SEMINARS Learn how to match the hatch! Each of four sessions begins a lecture and Power Point Presentation presented by Jim Holland. In these lectures I focus on all relevant stages of insect development, fish behavior, and proven techniques to catch more trout. After a short break and refreshments, one of our featured Local Fly Tiers will demonstrate the techniques to tie several successful local patterns. Session includes box of flies, hard copy of presentation and catered refreshments as well return trip to fish over the hatches on our private water. $100.00 per session, $375.00 for all four sessions and includes four return fishing sessions. JOHNSON SCHOOL OF FLY CASTING
Allan Johnson has been teaching beginners to cast and fly fish for over 30 years. He has helped hundreds of experienced anglers achieve greater accuracy, distance and control. The beginner will learn the basics:
casting, knots, selecting and balancing tackle, plus drills for
self-improvement. By the end of the class the first-time student is
able to cast and present the fly accurately at a minimum distance of
40-50 feet. The experienced angler will learn to achieve pin-point accuracy, tighter loops, greater distance and a delicate presentation of the fly under a variety of conditions. Classes are small, so that each student, beginner or seasoned angler, will get my personal attention (no assistant instructors.)
