Once a Month Shannon's will post a fly of the month. Les hand selected one of his favorite fly patterns to share with all of you. This fly may be one of Les's creations, a new pattern from one of our local Fly Tiers, or one of the old classics.

Body:

  1st black polly dubbing then palmered Hackle Light Dun
Front Hackle:

 Light Dun, one size bigger than Palmered Hackle
Wing:

 Light Dun Coastal Deer

   Note: Dai-Riki 270 hooks are 3x long ,so to make a size 14 fly use a size 16 hook and so on for correct body length. This fly designed by John Collins is a great imitation and I have had success with this both as a dry and while fishing it wet.-JH
