Once a Month Shannon's will post a fly of the month. Les hand selected one of his favorite fly patterns to share with all of you. This fly may be one of Les's creations, a new pattern from one of our local Fly Tiers, or one of the old classics.

 Dark Ostrich Herl wound around thread, then wrapped 

NOTE: Les first tied this fly in 1973 as the nymph to go with his Brown Quill dry fly. He had good luck with this pattern wherever he used them.
