Once a Month Shannon's will post a fly of the month. Les hand selected one of his favorite fly patterns to share with all of you. This fly may be one of Les's creations, a new pattern from one of our local Fly Tiers, or one of the old classics. MAY 2006 LES' LEMON CAHILL SPINNER
NOTE: Another classic dry fly originated by Leonard Halladay. This is probably the most fished fly ever tied. It can be used as a suggestive mayfly pattern, or a caddis pattern. It can be tied spent wing or upright, with or without an egg sac. My notes: Les couldn't have said it any better. You need to have these in your box.-JH All Content ©2007 Shannon's Fly & Tackle |
