As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to thank of all of you for supporting the shop and the blog which is part of our new website. Just a quick announcement: Due to space concerns in the shop we've decided to postpone Beginner Fly Tying with Len Ruggia to Saturday, December 1st. Tomorrow November 16th we are hosting Tom Gilmour who will be signing his new book, A Fly Fisher's Guide to New Jersey". We just don't have the room to accommodate both the tying class and the book signing from 10 am -1pm. I apologize for any inconvenience.
The weather sure has been active lately, two big storms last week saw river levels on the South Branch rise to just under 1000 cfs twice in a matter of days; the second storm even brought a documented EF1 tornado to Madison, a very rare occurrence in New Jersey. A benefit of the high flows has been to spread the fish out a little. The last couple of days also brought us our first cold air of the season, it was 19 degrees this morning although temperatures are forecast to mode
