Our final Hatches presentation is by Bart Lombardo

Public stocked streams remain closed until April 9th, but the TCAs remain open to fishing and reports are good. A few holdover trout, beautifully colored and full finned, are taking little black stones and midges, while the newly added rainbows are chasing woolly buggers and small streamers. Egg patterns and scuds will attract trout cruising the gravel beds and heading for cover as the temperature continues to swing wildly again this week.

Tuesday, hopefully, ends the cold snap, which brings us to local guide and very good guy Bart Lombardo who will be closing out this year's Hatches with approaches to the pond in his presentation: "Ponds and poppers - Pan fish on the fly." This session is a “must attend” for those venturing to our www.pondsatblackoak.com event, but everyone will learn about Bart's technique and tactics that will induce explosive strikes from even diminutive pan fish. These voracious predators can really bend a rod!
